Initial Telephone or Office Consultation

Most cases begin with the client or family exploring what services we offer and how mediation may be relevant to resolving a dispute. In our initial conversation, we'll discuss your needs and our ability to meet those needs. We'll give or send you information about mediation and our practice. We anticipate this process taking approximately ˝ hour.There is no charge for this service. 

General Mediation

Mediation services are billed at $200.00 per hour. Time is accounted in 1/4 hour increments. Charges will accrue for the following:

• Preparation for the mediation, examination of any background material, meeting with any of the parties if required,

• Time in the mediation conference including joint sessions with the parties and private meetings with the parties,

• Time to prepare a record of the settlement if it is not completed at the mediation conference, and

• Travel time (one-way) if required.
   

When a mediation conference has been agreed-to, there will be a two-hour minimum, deposited in advance. (This rate applies if there are two parties. Additional parties may necessitate a larger deposit.) 

The total cost for the mediation will be divided equally between the parties. 

If a party fails to attend an agreed-to conference, they will be responsible for 100% of the cost of the two-hour minimum charge. 

Additional Fees: Exceptional expenses (overnight delivery, etc.) will be billed for reimbursement as necessary. Expenses for travel outside the greater Orlando area will be negotiated in advance. There is no charge for routine items, i.e., phone calls, faxes and postage. 

Late Fees: Fees paid more than 30 days after the date of invoice will incur a late charge equal to 10% of the balance due. 

Fixed Price for Dissolution of Marriage Mediation 
 

• The fee for mediation for uncontested dissolution of marriage is $800.

• This fee is payable in advance.

• The mediation may be cancelled by either party up until 48 hours before the scheduled mediation for a full refund. After that, no refund will be granted.

• This fee includes all mediation charges but does not include court filing fees nor notary charges.

Method of Payment

Fees may be paid in cash, by money order or by credit card. Personal checks cannot be accepted.
